Annie May Wright

	Annie May Wright, age 96, of Pinckneyville, died in the Fairview Nursing Center in DuQuoin on Saturday, August 19, 2000 at 1:25 p.m. 
	Annie was born in Perry County on October 6, 1903, the daughter of Daniel and Molly (Rigdon) Davis.  She married Walter robert Wright in Pinckneyville on December 1, 1923 and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1981.  Annie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville.  She sold Avon products for numerous years and enjoyed making quilts.
	Survivors include a son, Carrol Wright and wife Paula of Pinckneyville; daughter-in-law, Violet Wright of Pinckneyville; seven grandchildren, Sylvia Diane Shaw, Lawanda Rose Childs, Paula Jean Prochazka, Tammy Belinda Kruse, Paul Eugene Wright Jr., Matthew Wright and Candace Strezewki; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her son Paul; a sister, Lena Simon; four brothers, Ira, Herbert, Alex and Delbert; one grandchild, Cathy Wright and two great-grandchildren, Paul Shaw and Noah Wright.
	Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville on Tuesday, August 22 at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Bush officiating.  Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Visitation was at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home on Monday from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. then at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services.
	Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville.
